ABOUT GRACE AND CRUMBS
I’m Janet — a passionate sourdough baker, qualified pastry chef, and certified Baking as Lifestyle Medicine teacher. Before beginning my formal culinary journey, I originally studied and practiced theology, which deeply shaped the way I understand care, presence, and service.
For me, baking has never just been about food. It’s about nourishment, nervous-system support, and creating rhythms that help people feel better in their bodies and homes.
My theological foundation continues to inform my work — grounding it in intention, compassion, and a deep respect for the everyday rituals that sustain us.
My Unique Culinary Journey:
My work sits at the intersection of traditional fermentation, modern nutrition, and real life. I teach sourdough and artisanal baking in a way that’s practical, accessible, and deeply supportive — whether you’re baking for your family, your health, or your sense of calm.
Through slow fermentation, hands-on learning, and sensory-aware teaching, I help people reconnect with food in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me developing courses, hosting workshops, or experimenting with dough and pastry — always guided by the belief that baking can be both deeply nourishing and beautifully simple.
Nice to meet you!
Jx!
